Update: Real Estate Theme deCasa 0.9.5 available

The version 0.9.5 of the real estate WordPress theme deCasa is now available! The update includes a major facelift, new layout options, searchable custom fields and much more.

deCasa is now more real estate than ever! The new version comes with a bunch of useful new features to let you setup your professional real estate website.

Property Search
The default WordPress search form of deCasa now searches the custom fields of each property (address, zip, city, state).

Dropdown Menu
For easy handling of categories deCasa now includes a Superfish multi-level dropdown menu.

Menu Control
Apart from the dropdown menu I also added more options to control the menu items. You can hide the home link and exclude any category or page item.

Layout Options
Through the theme options page you can now choose different layouts for your deCasa. You can change the background (light grey or yellowish like before), choose the color of the buttons (blue, blue 3D, green, green 3D, red, red 3D, grey, grey 3D) and the style of the icons used on the page (color or greyscale).

Lightbox Plugin
I also decided to use a different lightbox plugin for the gallery images. deCasa is now using prettyPhoto because the former plugin was a bit buggy.

Does this theme use timthumb? Is this theme compatible with wordpress mu?

Yes, the theme uses TimThumb. It is not compatible with WordPress MU at the moment. But it is pretty easy to make the necessary changes and I’ll definately explain you how to do that in the support forums.

    Dear Simon –
I think you have done a great job with this template.
Am interested in purchasing this but I have a few questions:
    1. I intend to use the template for a website that will allow people to swap house equivalent in value:
    a. Can you hide the contact information, address etc. of the registered users until the deal is agreed upon online?
    b. Is there a way the template can have a module to process financial fee’s from each users
    c. Can the users send each other messages about the houses
    d. How can the Theme process the “hand Shake” between the two users securely

I look forward to hearing from you with this regard

Very nice theme! I have a question about adding custom fields though.

The client I would like to use this for has a number of different values they would need placed in the ‘property settings box’ where you currently have address, state, zip, etc. And I mean they would need close to thirty different values.

Is it possible to easily configure the theme to include these new values in the property box? If it requires editing theme code, is there a turorial for doing so?

    Thanks!

    Hi Hi Simon,
thanks for your nice comment! To add custom fields to the post settings box and call them from in the frontend is really easy. I’ll explain you exactly how you can do all that in my support forums. At the end it’s a matter of copy&paste.
