The new ThemeShift theme options admin panel will definately improve your WordPress backend browsing experience. It will be published for the first time with my new dark personal blog theme deLirium. Release is scheduled for coming thursday March 11. All the other themes will be updated one by one.

Theme Options Page

The new options panel is organized in comprehensive sections that can be opened or closed with a neat toggle effect. The current status of each box will be saved in a cookie. That means that when you leave the options page and come back in another occasion, you will find the panel just like you left it.

I also included an overdue custom logo uploader and a logo preview. You can enter an image URL or add a new logo image using the image uploader on the theme options page.

Theme Overview

In the new menu item you will also find the link TS Themes that takes you to a page with an overview over the latest ThemeShift themes with a short description and useful links to the theme pages.

To make sure you don’t miss any ThemeShift news or updates of your theme you’ll be able to browse the latest ThemeShift news directly from the WordPress backend. Click on TS News and you can read the latest blog entries from ThemeShift.com.

The post thumbnail feature is backwards compatible. That means that existing images that you added through the post settings box in older versions of deLuxe won’t be lost and will still be displayed as hitherto.

Please notice! The new post thumbnail feature resizes images during the upload of an image. So if you want to add an image to a post that was uploaded before you had installed deLuxe 0.9.6, I recommend to use the old-fashioned way (custom field named image_value).

Redesign

Once again I was fed up with the design of ThemeShift.com. So I decided to redesign the whole site and the support forums to be completely happy again. If you’re a webdesigner, you probably heard of this illness called redesignitis. So well, I’m suffering of redesignitis and just had another attack.

Holidays

The year 2009 has been a very successful year for me and for ThemeShift.com. I put a lot of work to get this WordPress themes business running and I’m thrilled by all the positive feedback you guys gave me. This time Simon says: THANK YOU!

It’s Christmas time and everybody should have a rest. So do I. From December 19 until January 5 I’ll be on vacation far away from that big screen in front of me. If you bought a ThemeShift theme and need some support, I ask you to bear with me.

I’ll definately have an eye on the support forums but I’ll also try to spend as much time offline as possible. So your questions won’t be answered as quick as usually. Thanks for your understanding!
