Upcoming Project: Real Estate WordPress Theme Framework wpCasa
There’s a new project coming up. I’m currently working hard on a real estate WordPress theme framework that will be released by the end of the month.
wpCasa is the result of all the lessons I learned developing real estate WordPress themes and the feedback of my users. It is an extended, real-estate-focused version of the FrameShift framework that I use here on ThemeShift.
Both for WordPress newbies and for experienced developers wpCasa is extremely flexible. Beginners will find the layout settings and custom widgets super useful. For coders the extensive yet thoughtful use of WordPress action and filter hooks will come in handy.
Another strong spot is the widget support. The entire home page as well as the single property page are entirely built by widgets. That means you can change the layout of these pages by dragging and dropping your preferred widgets to the corresponding areas.
Through layout options on the theme settings page and post/page/property edit screens you can enable or disable or move the sidebar from right to left for each and every single entry individually.
A useful set of shortcodes for image galleries and sliders etc. will also come in handy when you tailor your professional real estate website to your special needs.
The framework theme has a minimalistic design as a perfect starting point to add your own template files and CSS to match your corporate identity. Optionally you can also get an additional child theme along with wpCasa and you’ll have a professional, turn-key real estate website set up with no work.
The following list is just a small part of the many features that come with wpCasa:
→ Responsive layout
→ Extensive layout options
→ Advanced property edit screen
→ Customizable, advanced property search
→ Easy customization via action and filter hooks
→ Print stylesheet for property pages
→ Solid, well-structured code base
→ And so much more…
The first release of wpCasa is scheduled for the end of this month July.
